I am continuing to create in 3DCoat, and I have looked back though some tutorials on rendering. I wanted to try to build a cave by solely relying on my memory. During this process I started to think about how caves would look; a hollow inside that consists of jagged and uneven walls, curving into the flat-ish ground.

The Beginning

I first started out with 3 cones(below) and another very flat cone for the ground. Following a tutorial I learned how to pull out bits of the cones and shaped them to my liking. I started scraping away at the cones and went ahead at making a whole in the largest cone.

The Outcome

Overall I am proud of this piece and I want to continue to increase my skills on rendering and sculpting.
