Yes, His name really is Weather Report!(below) It becomes a pretty regular name once you get introduced to other JoJo's character's and you get a feel of all of the weird things JoJo's Bizarre Adventure has to offer!(moving forward I will call JoJo's Bizarre Adventure jjba) I mentioned jjba in my last Blog, when I was showing my progress on a character that I was drawing. I finished the drawing recently! If you would like to see the finishing product, scroll to the bottom of this blog to find it!

Weather

A few months ago I started Reading the 6th part of the JJBA manga, which is widely known as "Stone Ocean". A lot of cool characters were introduced, one of my Favorites being Weather Report! He can control the weather in his area at long distances. He's a pretty chill, and independent character. When interacting with other characters, he gets really close and speaks quietly. Whenever he does, it makes me want to lean in and listen too! He avoids raising his voice in any way. That's what makes him such an interesting character to me. I'm kind of waiting to see him "snap" later on when he has to make tougher decisions, I cant wait to see what he's capable of!!

Recently I've been redrawing some of Hirohiko Araki's art. I wanted to chose more of the full-body drawings of his so that I could get out of my comfort zone of drawing bust's. I wanted Jolyne(left) to have more of a relaxed look, so I went searching for good poses that would hep me. I couldn't find any online, so I just took a few pictures of myself in the pose below and got to work with proportions. I'm feeling pretty confident with it so far.

I've recently taken a trip on memory lane with older Anime's that I used to watch as a kid, which were mainly Shojo's. What is a Shojo you might ask? The official meaning says that they are widely known as a genre of Japanese comics and animated films aimed primarily at a young female audience, typically characterized by a focus on personal and romantic relationships. This kind of stuff was right up my ally when I was younger.

I used to watch Shojo's such as Sailor Moon, Mermaid melodies, Peach Girl, Princess Jellyfish, and a few more. Tokyo Mew Mew is a Shojo that I've picked up again recently and I've fallen in love with the characters all over again.

Here we go Again..

I was listening to old songs and ran into a song that I heavily associated with these two characters that I wanted to be together in this particular show. Once I listened to it, I got a wave of nostalgia, and I realized how much I missed the characters. One character In particular being Kisshu,[key-shuu] which I had a bit of a crush on in the past. I started looking up pictures and clips of him from the show( I promise I'm not obsessed, I was only looking for reference pictures) and felt a sudden burst of motivation to draw him. It took me a good week because my motivation could be here one day and gone the next, but I kept pressing on and I ended up liking how it turned out!
