The Process

Drawing the design was my overall favorite part of the whole process, I believe design is where I thrive the most. I had a few ideas for how It should look, but I chose the last design at the last minute. Overall I had a very hard time creating the board game. I stressed myself out in the end by avoiding doing this assignment. I suffered because of it and considered giving up many times, but somehow I pushed through it. Creating the game box and other game tools was hard to do, because I was constantly getting stuck figuring out how I wanted the game to end.

Last month in January, we had to learn about Prototypes and how they play into the process of creating a game. Having a prototype allows us to exercise the mechanics that we want in our official games. The Mechanic I wanted to test where resources and decision making. I wanted the player to test out what it would be like to speak to different characters and consider how they talked to them. Creating the design along with the instructions, game pieces, and game board took a considerable amount of time to think about and complete. Below are 2 of the graphics for my game box.

Globe hero is a game I want to create because I want to make a game that can be both relaxing and fun for my audience. I thought of the concept of exploring snow globes in a small shop because I want my audience to give the small things more thought. After playing my game I want people to go out and see a globe of some kind an remember the relaxing experience they had playing my game. The idea of something being restored has always been something I've been interested about in games so that's something I wanted in this game.
